Anne Marie Whittaker of Mineral Wells, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior August 13, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas after a brief illness. She was born April 19, 1937 in New Britain, Connecticut to the parents Henry Wilford Griffin and mother, Anna Griffin both of New Britain, Connecticut.She was preceded in death by her father and mother, retired Colonel Henry W. Griffin and Anna Griffin; brother, Sgt. Henry J. Griffin (USMC) and beloved husband, Nathaniel Whittaker.Husband: Nathaniel Whittaker and wife Anne Marie were married for 32 years. She retired as a Mortuary Affairs Officer in the Civil Service, Fort Dix, New Jersey. She was a lifelong member of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary and also AARP. She was an active member of the Mineral Wells Senior Center and other senior organizations. She was an avid crafter, very artistic, loved to cook and bake, and loved to read. She never met a stranger and was extremely patriotic which she instilled in all of her family. She had a great sense of humor and left us with many wonderful memories.She is survived by her daughters, Victoria Delano and husband John of Audubon, New Jersey, Deborah Lamaster and husband James (retired Sgt. US Army) and Son Nathaniel (Hank) Whittaker of Baltimore, Maryland. A dearly loved Nephew Anthony W. Griffin and fiancée Sara Gibson. Grandchildren: Christopher and Michael Giordano, Jennifer and Donnie Lewis, Henry Lamaster,and fiancé Monica Robertson, Chree Lamaster and fiancé Kyle Henderson, Justeen and Eric Whittaker. 15 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Also, survived by many special friends, and her favorite four legged puppies: Boomer, baby (Daisy) and Katie.Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church, Mineral Wells, in her memory.
