Anna McFarland passed away unexpectedly at her home, on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, at the age of 76. She was a strong cancer fighting survivor for many years; giving glory to the Lord Jesus for a very blessed life even through the many storms and challenges.
Anna is survived by her husband, John McFarland; and 3 children, daughter Sheri Glover and husband Shane of Graford Tx, their kids Josh and Shae Glover and their 4 children. Kristyn and Ricky Ferguson and their 4 kids; son, Tim and Shawna Leggett of Graham, Tx, and their 3 kids Kelton and Robyn Leggett and their 7 kids, Sarah and Dennis Hogue and their 3 kids and Journey Wise. Bryan and Audrey Graham of Oklahoma and their son Caymon. Sister, Thelma and Bobby Paterson of Paradise, Tx; 2nd daughter, Sandra Harris and family; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Anna was blessed to have 18 Great Grandchildren.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Lola Donaldson; brothers, Don A Donaldson and VC Donaldson; granddaughter, Taylor Leggett; son, David McFarland; great-grandson, Baylen Ferguson; and Nephew Chad Patterson.
Anna was born on August 11, 1947 in Parker County, Tx. She graduated from Millsap High School in 1965. She married Jackie Leggett and had two children that were raised in Graford, Tx and Possum Kingdom Lake, Tx. She later divorced and relocated to Weatherford, Tx. After moving, she married her current husband John McFarland and they were together 33 wonderful years. Anna over the years welcomed a number of children into their home and she is still considered a second mom by many.
Anna was the kindest woman around. However, she was a bit of a spitfire as well. She was the type of woman that would give you the last bit of money or food she had and she would go without. That being said…She would not hesitate to give you some “ Words Of Wisdom “ if she felt the need. Anna was absolutely one of a kind and loved everyone MOSTEST!
All family and friends are invited to the memorial service on Saturday, October 12th from 11-2 pm at The Venue on N Main St in Graford, Tx. Pastor Luke Nievar will officiate the ceremony. There will be a lunch reception to follow. Graveside service will be at a later date for immediate family and friends.
