Anna Joyce Johnson

Anne Joyce Fisher Johnson, 93, a long-time resident of Perrin, TX passed away June 23, 2022.  Anne was a faithful member of the Perrin Church of Christ and attended every service until the last few years. 

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 10 a.m. June 29, 2022 at Perrin Church of Christ in Perrin, TX.  Visitation will be held one half hour earlier in the church annex.  Burial will follow at Perrin Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Perrin Church of Christ.

Anne was born October 25, 1928 in Weatherford TX, daughter of Will Lee and Roberta Weldon Fisher.  She met and married James (Sonny) Johnson on September 18, 1947.  They moved to the farm near Perrin in 1951.  Anne worked along with Sonny on the farm and worked tirelessly in their two-acre garden providing for the family.  Anne was active in the community and church lending a helping hand when needed and often providing fresh vegetables.  Mom loved to play games including checkers and Pollyanna and had no qualms about beating anyone who played against her.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Sonny who passed away July 2021 and siblings Lee Earl, Sue, Sam, Vernon, Hazel, Dorothy, Lois, Willie and Nancy.  She is survived by four sons Eddie (Denise) of Weatherford, Ricky (Cheri) of Mineral Wells, Donny (Samantha) of Weatherford and Monty (Terra) of Arlington.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren - Kevin (Kellie), Mark, Neil, Scott, Christina (Jimmy) Sliger, Mickey (Don), Shane (Katya), Christopher and nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
