Ann Thompson Griffin

Ann Thompson Griffin, born July 5, 1922 in Thurber, TX, went to her home in Glory March 10, 2016 at the age of 93 years. She was a hard worker all of her life and spent many years pulling cotton and working at the Box Factory. She found her true calling at the age of 60 working for the Meals on Wheels program. In June of 2006 she co-founded Meals on Wheels of Palo Pinto County where she worked until 2011. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Herman Ray and Lonnie Thompson, her six children Billy Joe Savage, Troy Savage, Richard Savage, Coette Morris, Ted Griffin, and Patty Clark; eleven grandchildren Bobby Joe Savage, Leigh Ann Wood, Tracie Rice, Jesse Savage, Richard Paul Savage, Mark Savage, Pete Lomeli, Jeff Griffin, Margie McGhee, Johnny Clark II, and Jacob Clark and numerous greatgrandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 10 AM at the Palo Pinto Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Bill Hudson.
