Ann Burns, 72, passed away July 13, 2017 in Mineral Wells. She was born September 19, 1944 in East Bernard the daughter of Albert and Mildred Case Schmidt. She grew up in Angleton and left there in 1978 and moved to Mineral Wells where she met the love of her life Jack Burns. They married on November 18, 1978 and had 38 years together. They were members of Leaning Tree Church. Ann was a beautiful Christian woman. She worked as a bookkeeper for several years until her health started diminishing then she spent her time being a devoted and loving housewife, mother, and grandmother. Services will be 2 PM Monday, July 17, 2017 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Willow Pond Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband: Jack Burns, son: Cecil Ray Huddleston both of Mineral Wells, daughter and son-in-law: Sheri and Kenny Hale, grandson and wife: Matt and Leeza McBride both of Pleasant Valley, grandson: Zander Martin of Mississippi, great-grandbabies: Shane, Jaycee, and Dylan all of Pleasant Valley, siblings: Betty Fox, Kathy and Harold Froehmer, Terrie Glover, Jerry and Sherry Schmidt all of Mineral Wells, Thomas and Jannie Schmidt of Selma, in-laws: Pam Schmidt and Joey Haygood of Mineral Wells, Roy Ann Burns, Paul and Cheryl Burns, Ramona Evans, Roger and Sue Burns all of Mineral Wells, Ruth Garrison of Clyde, Norman Burns of Oklahoma, and dearest friends: Jodie Zuber and Charolette Patino. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Sandy Riley and husband Jim, sister: Barbara Sue Haygood, and brother: Kenny Schmidt.
