Anita Muniz

On June 3, 2010, our beloved mother, wife, and grandmother Anita Muniz was called home to be with our Lord and Savior. She gracefully passed away in her families home of 50 years that she made with her husband of 60 years, Emmitt. Born of parents Federico and Paulita Tamayo of Edinburgh, Texas, raised in Yorktown, Texas. She was 89 years young. She lovingly left behind her daughter Erma, son Dierro, granddaughter Penny, grandson Donny and wife Pam, and family members Gilbert and Angela Perez. Anita was a deeply religious Catholic woman who belonged to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Anita devoted a lifetime of service to her community serving at a family owned laundromat and restaurant in the 60's and 70's. Also her love of children created a wonderful caregiver in her. She will be deeply missed and always be in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers. Mass will be 10 AM Monday, June 7, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Jeff Poirot officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. The Rosary will be 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
