Anita Ruth Carter

Anita Ruth Carter, 77, passed away June 6, 2010 at her home in Mineral Wells. She was born September 4, 1932 in Weatherford the daughter of Virgil and Lois Maddux Gilbert. She married Billy Carter in 1950. Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Church of God in Mineral Wells with Rev. Jerrel Tomlin officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery in Dennis. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. The pallbearers are her grandchildren Mark Wright, Bryan Barham, Joe Carter, Matt Carroll, Jame Carroll, and Ethon Wilhoit. The honorary pallbearers are Bryson Barham, Cody Carter, Jordan Carroll, and James Carroll Jr. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Sandra and Stanley Barham of Mineral Wells, Lois and David Wright of Weatherford, Jeannie Jackson of Mineral Wells, Elaine Carter of Mineral Wells, sons and daughters-in-law: Bob and Brenda Carter of Weatherford, Jeff and Shelia Carter of Santo, Tim and Mary Carter of Brock, brother and sister-in-law: Bill and Betty Gilbert of Weatherford, sisters and brother-in-law: Betty Gilbert of Brock, Joy and Ricky Allmon of Weatherford, 15 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Billy Carter, son: Michael Carter, sister: Mary Gilbert, mother: Lois Gilbert, and father: Virgil Gilbert.
