Angela Maria Rogers

Angela Maria "Angie" Rogers, 89, passed into heaven Thursday, November 5,2009 in Mineral Wells surrounded by her children and grand-children. Funeralservices will be 10 AM Monday at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.Fr. Jeff Poirot will officiate with Deacon Desantigo assisting. Rosary willbe 7 PM Sunday. Burial will be in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearerswill be Julian Quesada, Adam Perrault, Amado Valley, Jr., Miguel Valley,Christopher Valley and Amos Rogers. Mrs. Rogers was born June 9, 1920 inLampasas County, TX, the tenth child of Jose and Anna Delgado.Angela enjoyed working with her flowers, serving and working with thechurch. She was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church, memberof the Guadalupanas, the Alter Society and a Curillista. Angela had a deepfaith that has sustained her all her life. She was a loving mother andgrandmother to all her children and grandchildren. She was a surrogatemother and grandmother to many others.Survivors include: her life partner of 50 years, Jose Trevino; fivedaughters and sons-in-law, Dora and John Hyson of California, Madeline andArthur LaBrum of Colorado, Andrea Reyes of Fort Worth, Ruth Rogers andCatherine and Domingo Quesada of Mineral Wells; five sons and adaughter-in-law, Andrew Rogers and Jose, Jr. and Mary Rogers of MineralWells, Ciprano Rogers of Forth Worth, David Rogers of Arizona andChristopher Rogers of New York; sisters, Chavela Castillo of Lampasas andJosefina Delgado of Austin; brothers, John Delgado of Marlin and JulianDelgado of North Carolina; over 60 grandchildren; numerous nieces andnephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian r. Rogers, a son DanielRogers and a granddaughter Patricia Anna Rogers.
