Angela Bailey Hampton of Mineral Wells passed away on July24, 2015. She was born December 28, 1936 in Wells; Angelic County. She was married to her husband, John Thomas Hampton just shy of 60 years. They were married October 1955 in Mineral Wells. She has lived in Mineral Wells for over 50 years, where she was very active in the community as she along with her husband John, co-owned three different businesses; Travelers Café, Cox Florist and Hampton Jewelers. She taught Sunday school at the First Baptist Church, where she was an active member for 52 years. He was a long-time member of Zonta Club, a charter member and three-time president of the Mineral Wells Woman's Club. She was a creative and very talented floral designer; also a very good cook, especially known for her "chicken and dumplings" and other creative foods. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by husband, John Hampton; sons; Gary and wife Theresa Hampton of Corpus Christi; Neil and wife Gail Hampton of Fort Worth; and Keith and wife Yvonne Hampton of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Thomas Lee and wife Beth Hampton, Jeffery Hampton, Tyler Wayne and wife Jessica Hampton and the only granddaughter, Angela Maurie Hampton; great-grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth and Lee Allen Wayne. She is also survived by a brother, James Bailey, sisters; Janice Kittner, Dorothy St. Aubin, and Barbara Long, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday July 27, from 6-8pm at the First Baptist Church; funeral service will be held 2 PM, Tuesday July 28, at the First Baptist Church in Mineral Wells.
