Amy McClain

Amy Gertrude McClain, 102, passed away May 22, 2011 in a Fort Worth hospice facility. She was born October 13, 1908 in Whitt the daughter of Robert Lee and Josie Turner Grimes. She was a lifetime resident of Whitt and a member of the Assembly of God Church there. Services will be 2 Pm Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Whitt Assembly of God Church with Rev. Franklin Roop officiating. Burial will follow in Whitt Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Peggy and Jay Goodwin of Arlington, son and daughter-in-law: Robert L. "Bob" and Tracy McClain of El Paso, 8 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 17 step-great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, 9 step-great-great-grandchildren, and special friend Eddie Wells of California. She was preceded in death by her husband on Loyd P. McClain on June 18, 1992, her parents, and her brother: Basil Grimes.
