Alvis Shannon McCray passed away December 16, 2021 in Jacksboro. He was born June 20, 1971, in Seminole, Texas, the son of Tony Dale and Patricia Ann Bridges McCray, Sr. Shannon worked for Upham Oil and Gas and Mack’s Drilling as a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was an avid biker. Shannon was very charitable; if he felt you were in need he would help you or give you whatever was needed. He had also recently received his Ordained Minister license. Shannon will be missed especially his stories and jokes.
His parents, Tony and Pat McCray and grandparents, Alvis and Edna McCray and LeRoy and Izella Hart preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Dustra McEwen McCray; son, Ty McCray; daughter, Heather Streun and husband Preston; step-children, Meagan Burks and husband Brandon, Brandon Drewry, Jeff Johnston, Chelsea Jarboe, Kristan Earles and husband Cameron; grandchildren, Paislee Streun, Brixton Streun, Cooper McCray, Bexley McCray, Ryder Burrow, Braelyn Slimp, Hunter Slimp, Sadie Burks, Parker Burks, Reagan Burks, Braxton Hendricks, Jack Ryan Johnston, and Liam Earles; siblings, Tony McCray, Jr. and wife Jenny and Rhonda Self and husband David; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be from 10-12 Wednesday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 12 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Woodland Park Cemetery.
