Albert Bruce Light, 76, of Mineral Wells passed away January 15 at Kindred Southwest Hospital in Ft. Worth. He was born June 3rd, 1939 in Lamesa to William Eugene and Annie Belle Thompson Light. He married his high school sweetheart, Ladean Goolsby, March 16, 1957. They were the proud parents of two daughters. Together they owned and operated Bruce's Food Store in Lamesa. Later, he owned a Borden milk route that he operated for many years in Lamesa, Snyder, and Mineral Wells. He and Ladean then owned and operated the Dairy Mart Drive Inn in Mineral Wells until their retirement. Bruce was a member of the Church of God since his childhood. He was an avid sports fan and passed that love on to his daughters. Visitation is Monday, January 18, 2016 at 1pm at the Church of God. Funeral Service is Monday, January 18, 2016 at 2pm at the Church of God. Internment will be Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 1 pm at Lamesa Memorial park in Lamesa. He was proceeded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, 2 sisters, his wife of 56 years, granddaughterl)l Marcy, and two great-grandsons, Colby and Breaden. He is survived by his two daughters, Joan and husband Bill Martin of Abilene, and Susan Burnett of Abilene. He was the beloved Papa to granddaughters Miranda Nachlinger, Marissa Seedig, and Jayci Rodriguez; grandsons Bobby Burnett and Justin Souder; great-granddaughters M'Kayla Wilson, M'Lynn Leatherwood, Malaina Stewart, Allie, Daniella, and Kaylie Rodriguez, and Kennedy Burnett; great-grandsons Jordan Bowser, Austin Laylin Burnett, Jonathan and Lastin Seedig, and Lucas Souder; numerous nieces and nephews, many of whom referred to him as"favorite uncle. " The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association in honor of his wife.
