Alan Claibourn Busby

Alan Claibourn Busby, 75, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in Bedford. He was born December 9, 1943 in Mineral Wells. Alan graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1962 and joined the United States Marine Corps after graduation. After serving in the USMC he attended Tarleton State University before settling with his wife, Elliene, in Arlington. For the last several years Alan has lived in Cleburne where he ran the business he co-owned, Newton Conveyers. Alan was a man of few words. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elliene Phillips Busby; sister, Susan Busby Montana; parents, Johnny and Evelyn Pittman Busby.Survivors include his niece and her family, Sonia and husband Yilmaz Golcuklu and their daughter, Rania.A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 16 at Fairview Cemetery in Millsap.
