Ada Helen Southerland

Ada Helen Southerland (Bobbie), age 97, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving and blessed family. Visitation and Funeral: Monday, September 18, 2023 at 1:00 pm followed by the Funeral at 2:00 pm at Eleventh Avenue Church Mineral Wells, Texas . Burial: Woodland Park Cemetery at 3:00 pm. Donations may be made in her memory to Give Kids the World at www.gktw.org. Bobbie was born on February 21, 1926, in Mineral Wells, Texas. She was the daughter of William Mitchell Huffaker and Ada Ethyl Pittman Huffaker. The seventh child of 8 children, she was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters who adored their beautiful baby sister, Bobbie. She graduated from Mineral Wells High School and then went to work for Ed Lee/Rawhide Chevrolet where she was a bookkeeper. She married Kenneth Knight on December 31, 1949. They lived in Mineral Wells and were married for 38 years. Kenneth passed away in 1986. Bobbie married George Southerland on April 6, 1991. Bobbie loved to play card games, cook her peanut brittle, and travel to Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Alabama.  She adored her 9 great-grandchildren and in 97 years she left a beautiful, loving legacy. Bobbie loved the Lord and attended Eleventh Avenue Church. Survivors: Bobbie is survived by her daughters, Tricia (Fonse) Ragland and Beverly (Ronnie) Motley; grandchildren Jeff (Michelle) Moore, Lillian Ragland, Margaret Ragland, Sean (Stacey) Hamilton, Darenda (Pate) Huguley, Julie (Dan) Duncan, and Erika (Casey) Yost. Bobbie treasured and adored her precious nine great-granddaughters and great-grandsons, Brice, Avery, Jordan, Payton, Preston, Camdyn, Caroline, Ford and Shepherd and great-great-granddaughter, Addison.
