Dorothy Tincher Mineral Wells, TX

Dorothy Tincher

Dorothy Ann Tincher passed away peacefully on August 19, 2018 in Mineral Wells. Dorothy, the daughter of Thomas and Cora Howeth, grew up in Mineral Wells with 2 brothers and sisters. She later married Roger Tincher of Weatherford and had 4 beautiful children. Dorothy was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mom and most of all friend. She didn’t meet a stranger and cared so much about everyone she came in contact with. Dorothy worked for 40 years as the voice of Palo Pinto General Hospital. Everyone from employees to patients to general public would start their morning out saying good morning to DT, granny T or just plain Dorothy Tincher. We all knew who to go to when we needed a friendly face to put a smile on our face or a listening ear when we were in trouble and needed advice. One thing is for certain if you wanted someone to sugar coat or not tell you how it is then DT was not the person to go to for advice hahaha. Some of her hobbies included watching her grandkids play sports and playing bingo. Dorothy was a huge baseball fan cheering on the Texas Rangers no matter how good or bad they played. Dorothy was everyone’s friend/counselor. She will be missed by so many. Services will be 10 AM Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Indian Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Newberry Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Dorothy is survived by son: Larry Tincher and wife Linda of Granbury, daughter: Linda Myers of Mineral Wells, daughter: Debbie and husband Bob Jones of Azle, son: Mike and wife Julie Tincher of Mineral Wells, grandchildren: Bud Ballinger III of New York, Tommy Myers of Mineral Wells, Amy Simpson of Fort Worth, Eddie Myers of Mineral Wells, Brad Tincher of Weatherford, Brent Tincher of Mineral Wells, Jonathan and Sean Ballinger of Houston, Brandon Tincher of Granbury, Sterling Tincher of Mineral Wells, Matt Tincher and Luke Tincher of Mineral Wells, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, several wonderful nieces and nephews, and a host of friends as well as her PPGH family. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and her husband Roger. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Meals on Wheels in her memory. The family wishes to thank Palo Pinto Nursing Center and Solaris Hospice for the loving care given to Dorothy.
