The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provided describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
Basic Services of Funeral Director, Staff and Overhead
Our services include, but are not limited to, sufficient licensed and additional personnel available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond to initial request for service. Also to conduct the arrangement conference, consult with the family or responsible party, shelter remains, prepare and file necessary notices and certificates, obtain necessary authorizations and permits, coordinate with other third parties, plan funeral arrangements when desired, and a proportionate share of our basic overhead costs relative to our facility such as insurance, maintenance and utility expenses, secretarial and administrative costs, and equipment and inventory expenses and taxes. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you selected. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)

Transfer of Remains to the funeral home (25-mile radius)
These services include an adequately equipped vehicle and sufficient licensed Funeral Directors to implement the transfer at the time of death, any time, day or night. Removal in Parker County and Palo Pinto County are within this base charge area. More distant transfers will be subject to an additional mileage fee and may be provided by an agent of Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.
a. Embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.
As a practical necessity, embalming will be required if there is to be viewing of the body or a delay (over 24 hours with no refrigeration) in the burial or cremation. Embalming includes, but is not limited to the disinfecting, proper positioning, and preserving of the body. Other preparation of the body includes, but is not limited to bathing and other sanitizing and cleaning, application of cosmetics and other grooming, dressing and placing of the body into the casket.

This charge includes preparation of the body for handling and transporting, a leak-proof containment bag and, for cremation, a minimum cremation tray, which is a requirement of the crematory.
a. Use of facilities and staff for viewing; Our services include viewing equipment, use of viewing room and furniture and other facilities, as needed, placement of casketed remains, display of floral tributes, and registration of guests, supervision and attendance during viewing.
b. Use of facilities and staff for Ceremony (includes graveside service); Our services include coordinating the funeral arrangements, setup and use of facilities for funeral ceremony and staff necessary to conduct the funeral ceremony, or if at another facility the necessary equipment and setup and additional staff necessary to conduct the funeral ceremony, supervision of committal or other disposition service.

Hearse, Family/Pallbearer car - This charge for the hearse includes the driver and vehicle for the round trip from the funeral home to the funeral service, graveside service and return. This charge for the Family/Pallbearer car includes the vehicle for the round trip to transport the passengers and return. Transportation out of Palo Pinto or Parker Counties is subject to a mileage fee on each vehicle used.
